A Whirlwind Year
I started writing this blog post as a new year reflection but as I started typing, I realized that I don’t really want to rehatch the past or relive what happened this year. Instead, I want to send gratitude to the ups, downs, twists, turns & things that I really didn’t see coming. Because it’s not about what happened this past year… it’s about where it lead you. My path brought me down uncharted territory & even though it was hard at times, it wasn’t soul crushing. In fact, it was actually soul enriching & perspective changing. So, I choose to send forgiveness to the girl who started the year with bright ideas for a new collection, only to lose the momentum once her world was turned upside down. I send compassion to the girl who survived a traumatic accident & realized the importance of her presence over the value of her material things. I send love to my friends, family & community who helped me in my time of need & showed me what true support really looks like! I send grace to the relationship that tried it’s best, but ended in different directions. I send praise to the girl who jumped back on the road even though it felt too soon! I send tenderness to the girl who battles body dysmorphia but is learning to see her body for the beautiful vessel that it really is. I send gratitude to the team that came together & helped restore my trailer to it’s prime. I send hindsight to the girl who hit the ground running & vended 8 weeks in a row to make up for lost time. I send blessings to the farm that encouraged me to grow & opened me up to the possibilities of life. I send encouragement to the girl who met a boy with a Pendleton blanket & a feather tattoo, to silence the mind & follow her heart. I send commitment to the life they are now building together & the vision that they share. I send bravery & patience as they embark on their next chapter together which will be filled with great adventure but also uncertainly. Lastly, I send myself appreciation for all the times that I wanted to quit, but continuously chose the light over darkness. I am so grateful for the year that I’ve had because it’s prepared me for the journey ahead! ❤️
Join me in my next blog post about what’s on the agenda for 2024. It’s possible I could be coming to a countryside near you!
